Have you ever had a car break down? (Who hasn't!) I know we've had cars break down way more often than I'd like to remember. One day, I had 3 cars break down in one 24 hours! (Amazingly, the auto club sent 3 different drivers from the same company to help us!) First my car (a Saturn) decided not to start (bad starter, we eventually learned: a couple hundred $$). Then I drove my old Chevy Van until we could get the Saturn fixed. I ran out of gas...on a back road...on the way to the gas station. After my husband left me to wait for the tow truck (he was on his way to a contract job) he called to tell me the car had overheated and stalled out. A series of events lead us to learn that we need a new engine (a few THOUSAND $$!). The next day, we had to get a brake job on the Van (another couple of hundred $$).

Finding a good Dallas auto repair shop (or wherever you are) can be frustrating. It helps if you know someone who has found a good mechanic. Whether you have a Lexus or a Chevrolet Silverado, a good mechanic can make you life much easier!
