My whole life when I tell people my family comes from a concentration camp in Germany, it's automatically assumed we're Jewish but we're not. We're Polish Catholics who were taken as slaves and while we were not put to death, members of my family perished under poor conditions. That's why I wrote the story on my website, for others to see and remember how real the holocaust was.
