Coupons and BoxTops, Oh My!

I haven't been on a coupon shopping trip in a while. It is hard to keep current coupons since we don't get any inserts in our local paper. But today I stopped at Albertsons and noticed the sale included Fiber One Yogurt for $1.49 each. I got excited because I have several coupons for $1.35 off ONE! I forgot to mention the best part! For every 6 items with Box Tops for Education, I got a coupon for 20 bonus BTFEs. I got a total of 100 bonuses (value 10 cents each. Total value: $10!) And several of the items had bonus box tops.

Thought for the day: You have not because you ask not. I have a TON of expired coupons. When I was in the line, I asked the cashier if they accept expired coupons. She said if they were jsut a couple of days old she could take them. I let her know mine expired around the first of August. She said she'd take them. I put my stuff in the car and went back in. I saved another $6!

Here is my take...

5 boxes of General Mills cereals (fun kid ones!)
4 boxes of Suddenly Salad
9 boxes of Hamburger Helper
4 4 packs of Fiber One Yogurt
6 boxes of Transformers fruit snack
8 bowls of EasyMac
1 Edwards Singles Desserts
4 large Bags of Chex Mix

Total value: $109.67
Total out of pocket: $24.31
Total saved: $95.36
Discounts: $74.11
Coupons: $21.25
