Tilty Cup: Review and Giveaway

Thanks to
MomSelect, I had the opportunity to try out the Tilty Cup.
Even though my youngest, Munchie, will be 4 next week, he wanted to try one out. He liked it.  But I needed to test it out with some kids who haven't learned to drink out of cups yet.  So I borrowed some kids!  I work in early intervention, and we have a daycare on site.  So I took the cups to our 1-year old teachers.  They were quite interested in the design. I gave them a couple of weeks to try them out and then came back to check on them.  They loved them!  The cups were great!  The kids were learning how to drink from them.  And they want more! (One of the teachers has a 9-month old son.)

  • Ergonomic design makes drinking easier and more comfortable.
  • Requires less head tilt than any other sippy cup.
  • Teaches better mechanics to help babies graduate from a sippy to a regular cup.
  • Has a snap on lid without a valve for better dental development, as recommended by the ADA, American Dental Association .
  • safe for 9+ months
The Tilty Cup is:
  • Dishwasher Safe (Top Rack)
  • Polypropylene
  • BPA, Dye and PVC free
  • Easy to use in a car seat or stroller

Would you like to win a pair of Tilty Cups?

Thomas birthday cake

I layered 4 round cakes (9; 8; 8; 9 inches each). Then I cut an arc out of the front side.

Covered with a crumb coat.

Red brick building and gray base complete.

Everything is iced.  Blue roof, red building, gray base, and green doors.

All done!  Final touch was a piped track and a set of bath toy trains.

Crunchy's birthday is next week. His party is tomorrow. He is into all things Thomas the Tank Engine. After checking out hundreds of pictures of Thomas themed cakes, I decided to try the round house. Crunchy calls it Tidmuth Shed. I started with 2 8 inch and 2 9 inch pans

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day I asked for a full set of fingernails. John offered to do them but since I haven't done them in so long we decided to have them done at a shop. I ended up with French tips. John found some Hello Kitty press on nails for Crunchy. They didn't last long but they sure looked cute.

Amies Chris'topher Tote and wallet review

Amies Circle is a fun new line of products created by a graphics designer who wanted hip age-appropriate toys for young girls. Rather than try to make our kids into mini teenagers, Jubily Boy created a line of stationary, fashion and gift accessories for girls of all ages.

Nico and Zoe Baby Hippo Review

Nico & Zoe carry uncommon and artisan made toys that are made from materials that have been tested to be safe. Right now they are offering free shipping (lower 48) on orders over $100. I had the opportunity to review one of the organic plush: Fairy Tale Baby Andi the Hippo.

Dudley's Solo Reveiw

Dudley's Solo by Tiffany Alexander is a fun, colorful and entertaining children's book. But it also contains some good lessons.

Paknaks Review

I first saw PakNaks last summer, and my kids loved them. I was glad to have the opportunity to review some. Paknaks are knickknacks for backpacks. Paknaks retail for about $4 each.

PakNaks are fun soft rubbery 3-D decorations for kids (and adults too!) to personalize all of their stuff. Backpacks, lunchbags, headbands, computer bags, household items, the list is only limited by your imagination.

There are more than 40 designs. Some of my favorites are Robert (the robot), Bella the Bee, Kyla Jane the butterfly, and Damsel the dragonfly.

Paknaks come with a customized velcro® that sticks and holds very well to whatever you want it to hold to. My kids each have one on their backpacks. They change out the design when they want.

Here are some of Munchie's choices.

Empty (see the velcro by the final S).

The Squishes (dolphins)

Grant (Soccer Ball)

Mike (Monster?)

New! From Purex

I was selected as one of 200 Purex Insiders.

I got to try out the new Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry sheets. What a great new product. Each sheet (roughly the size of a dryer sheet, but thicker) had detergent, fabric softener, and anti-static "pre-loaded".

New identity

I spent this weekend with 26 other women from my church talking about finding our true identity in Christ. It was really incredible how 4 different women took one theme and came up with 4 different talks that completely overlapped each other. I don't think it could have been more cohesive if we had written our talks together. I'll be sharing more about the retreat later this week.

Yesterday, I had to file a police report because someone stole my identity---or at least a part of it. Someone has been using my social security number (but not my name). I had to file a fraud report. While I was at it, I found out that (according to my credit report) I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. (Too bad I missed out on the fun!)

But my biggest news about identity today..... My husband bought my domain for me. You can still find me at mom2ways.blogspot.com. But now, you can find me at:
