Last night I finished laundry for the week. I started on Saturday afternoon by sorting 4 laundry hampers (and the overflow) into piles. Then I started washing and switching loads every hour or so. When I went to bed, there was a load in both the washer and dryer. When I woke up to use the bathroom at 2 am, I switched clothes over. Before church, I pushed a couple of loads through. After church I finished the last couple of loads. After small group, I recruited the entire family to help put away the 3 baskets of clothes I had to fold, as well as all the hanging clothes. And by the time I finished, I probably had another load or two ready to wash!
Laundry is one of my least favorite chores. You can never catch up. (Unless you complete your final load naked!) There will always be more to wash. I don’t know if there is anything I could do to make laundry more exciting but I think as much time as I spend in the laundry room, a makeover would be great!
