Vacant Quivers

John and I are working on an Infertility and Adoption workshop at our church. It will be January 19th. We are working with a team of doctors, lawyers, adoptive parents, and others interested in the process of building a family. The title Vacant Quivers is a play off of Psalm 127:3-5, "Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. happy is the man who has his quiver full of them..." (NKJV).

We first thought of using empty as the opposite of full but then felt that this might alienate the adoption crowd. So,we finally settled on vacant feeling that this would be inclusive of both groups. Many families have "vacancies", even if there are already children (by birth or adoptIon).
