Update

Sorry! My computer died before we left and John hasn't had time to work on it. And his computer has been busy. One of these days I'll type out the rest of the story. But for now, here's a summary.

Crunchy is fine. There have been no more episodes. The CT scan, x-ray and EEG are all normal. The doctor said this could be the start of a seizure disorder, or it might be a one time thing. So we just have to watch. If she goes a year without a seizure, we are considered "home free". If she has another seizure, then we may have to look at meds.

I'm holding steady, but not making a lot of progress. I gained 1.5 pounds while I was in Albuquerque. (I drank more Pepsi that week than I had in 4 months!) But I've been walking 2 miles every day at work (5 days a week) and doing some weight training. I'm down about 35 pounds right now. (With about 80 or so to go.)

On Thursday I have a 64 slice CT scan of my heart. My doctor has been checking me out because of ocassionally (and sometimes often) chest pains. So far I've had an ultrasound, blood work, and a stress test. All showed no concerns. But the pain is still here. And pain isn't necessarily the way to describe it. It's more of a bother. For a few seconds (maybe a minute) it feels like somebody is poking me---not stabbing, just poking.

More when I can.

You know, what you're describing sounds so familiar to me. I used to lay down, when I was a growing teenager, with poking/kind of sharp pains, right under where my heart was...under my ribs. I was seriously worried about it, until a friend's Dad (a cardiologist) said that what I was describing was most likely gas, stuck in the bend in my large intestine that goes right through that point in my ribs. Umm...can you say embarassing? Now that I'm pregnant, my mysterious chest pains are back. Go figure.

Hope you can get a handle on yours soon, whatever they are!

Praying that you will find answers or peace that there is no need for worry as a result of Thursday's test. Glad to hear "Cruchy" hasn't had any more issues.

I'm glad to hear Crunchy is doing better, and I hope the scan goes well.
