Our 2nd first day of school

Yesterday was Crunchy's first day of school. Her first day of kindergarten. Wow! She was 3 months old when we moved from California to New Mexico. And now she is a kindergartner. Wow! (did I say that already?) Crunchy's teacher goes to our church and I've heard wonderful things about her! :) After all of the parents and children made the migration from they gym to the classroom, the kids were asked to find their names and sit down. The parents helped the kids trace their handprints. My Crunchy asked:

Mom, why are there so many toys if we have to stay in our seats?

I assured her that she would get to play at some point. (She did!) We made our exit and let the day begin.
