No, I don't wear boots. But it's time to, figuratively, pull myself up by my bootstraps. In February, I started a journey to improve my health. I worked hard and over the next 4 months, I lost about 30 pounds and several inches. I walked almost every day and did weight training. But then something happened to disrupt my routine. My daughter (almost 5) had a seizure. While we were in the hospital trying to figure out why, I turned to my comfort food: Pepsi. After we left the hospital, I intended to return to my good habits. I did keep walking, but I kept drinking (more and more) Pepsi and making other poor choices.
It has now been 2 months since the seizure. Crunchy is fine. I need to stop making excuses. This morning I filled my jug with water and walked 2 miles. This is the first step to improving my health. I may make this first step again and again. But I'm starting today.

You've got the right idea. Stop making excuses and cut the pop out. :) My two cents at any rate.

Good for you!
