No, I don't wear boots.  But it's time to, figuratively, pull myself up by my bootstraps.  In February, I started a journey to improve my health.  I worked hard and over the next 4 months, I lost about 30 pounds and several inches.  I walked almost every day and did weight training.  But then something happened to disrupt my routine.  My daughter (almost 5) had a seizure.  While we were in the hospital trying to figure out why, I turned to my comfort food: Pepsi.  After we left the hospital, I intended to return to my good habits.  I did keep walking, but I kept drinking (more and more) Pepsi and making other poor choices.
It has now been 2 months since the seizure.  Crunchy is fine.  I need to stop making excuses.  This morning I filled my jug with water and walked 2 miles.  This is the first step to improving my health.  I may make this first step again and again.  But I'm starting today.
